Some of my friends who were able to read my post about Nama Sakana Sushi Japanese Restaurant got interested with the mojito drink.
So for those who asked me how to make an authentic Cuban Mojito, then here are a couple of mojito recipes that a bartender friend of mine gave me. I hope you enjoy making your own homemade mojito.
Mojito Recipe – Rum based
2 ounces of lime juice
1 teaspoon sugar
4 mint sprigs
2 ounces rum
club soda
Mojito Recipe – Vodka based
5 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons sugar
3 fresh mint sprigs
2 ounces vodka
club soda
Procedure for both recipes:
Place the mint sprigs in a glass and add the lime or lemon juice. Add the sugar and mix. Apply gentle pressure to the mint – “muddle the mint”. Add ice and pour the rum or vodka. Top off with club soda.
Of course you can make your own version of this. Always remember to drink moderately. Cheers!
i love mojito, but the one without alcohol called virgin mojito. it is served as welcome drink at LCDTM, the resto where I work part-time. we use calamansi instead of lemon and lime.
That’s interesting. Now, I’m curious about the virgin mojito. 😀
I love the one with vodka! 😀
Using calamansi juice instead of lemon does add quite an interesting tinge to it.
