On July 19, yours truly will be running at the Globe – Ayala Land City Run entitled, Run For Home. And I would like to invite you to join me in this marathon.
I’m truly excited to do this because I know that it will be for a worthy cause. Why? Because this marathon is for Habitat for Humanity. Yep, this is a charity event that will help build homes for the less fortunate.
Another reason why I am excited is because it will be my first time to run with an electronic timing chip (which Globe will provide). This chip will track my running time and give me a lot of post-race stats about my performance. It will the first time this technology will be used in a running event here in the Philippines.
What else can you expect when you join Run For Home?
- Get to know and race with the country’s top running enthusiasts (and bloggers!)
- Burn some calories and help prevent that beer belly from getting any bigger
- Have some healthy eating at the food bazaar after the race
- And of course, get lots of free sports drinks from the sponsors (glug! glug! glug!) 😛
There will be 3, 5, 10 and 21 kilometer runs. So just choose which race you want to challenge yourself with.
If you want to know more on how you can participate, you can visit the Run For Home website, any participating Globe Business Center or any Fitness First branch in Metro Manila.
