Hollys Coffee, the specialty coffee company from Korea, has opened its third branch in the Philippines. This time, along the food strip at the back of SM Southmall.
Their very first branch in the country opened last July 2011 in One Archer’s Place along Taft Ave. It was attended by Hollys Coffee Korea president Jung Soo Yeon, chairman Lee Myeung Hwan, and local franchise owner Lee Ji Hoon.
Shortly after, their Mendiola branch opened. And just this month May 2012, their SM Southmall had its soft opening.
Hollys Coffee (Korean: í• ë¦¬ìŠ¤ 커피) was established in 1998. They offer espresso, coffee, tea, coffee- and tea-based cold and hot specialty drinks. They also sell a variety of pastries and other snacks, and coffee supplies.
Did you know that there are more than 250 Hollys Coffee shops in Korea? They also have several branches in the United States, Malaysia, Peru, and of course, the Philippines.
That day, I ordered the Caffe Latte on their hot coffee menu and a slice of red velvet cake. Meanwhile, a friend had an iced Caramel Caffe Latte.
Personally, there was nothing extraordinary with the cake – it was just fine. However, I found the latte really nice and creamy – and gave me a good caffeine fix. My friend agreed with me, who likewise enjoyed his iced beverage.
Overall, I’m just happy that there’s a new coffee place near my place where I can hangout; and would definitely come back here soon.
Wow, may Holly’s Coffee na pala dito! Na-experience ko to sa Korea ahihi
