Can’t drink milk? Having second thoughts on eating ice cream? Missing out on that 4-cheese pizza?
I know it’s not fun to have lactose intolerance. But there are some things we can do to minimize the ill effects of lactose intolerance. There are likewise some home remedies we can try. Here’s some help:
Ill effects or symptoms of lactose intolerance: gas, bloating and cramping.
How to determine your level of lactose intolerance:
- Don’t eat any dairy products for a couple of days.
- Drink milk in small doses until you experience symptoms.
How to avoid minimize discomfort from lactose intolerance:
- Don’t take your dairy alone. Have a cracker or biscuit with the milk, fruits with the ice cream.
- Have chocolate or cocoa powder with your milk – drink chocolate milk.
Good alternative sources of calcium so you don’t have to worry about lactose intolerance: sardines, hard cheese, soy milk and yogurt.
I guess that’s my lactose intolerance remedies for you. Lastly, you might be interested to read about my previous posts here about the Vanilla Silk Soy Milk and the KFC Strawberry Banana Yoghurt Krush.
