There’s a new juice drink in the market today and I was able to get hold of them a few days ago. It’s called Smart C+.
I was hesitant at first to give this beverage a try, simply because it’s from Oishi (I know, it’s a prejudice). But then, I said to myself, if Oishi can make delicious prawn crackers (I really love those, by the way); then I’m sure a good juice drink wouldn’t be that hard for them to do.
Taking the name itself, you’ll know that Smart C+ contains Vitamin C. A closer look at the Nutrition Facts reveal that one serving (approx 250 mL) actually contains 320% of the RDA for Vitamin C. Woah! Now there’s your “plus”.
In any case, that fact is not actually bad – because if you have a stressful and busy lifestyle, then you probably need more Vitamin C for your body than the RDA. Moreover, Vitamin C is a water-soluble protein, and anything in excess will just be released by the body.
Oishi Smart C+ comes in three flavors: Lemon Squeeze, Orange Crush and Pomelo Grapefruit. I was able to taste all three and my favorite would have to be the Orange Crush.
Probably because I love drinking freshly squeezed orange juice and the taste of Smart C+ Orange Crush is really close to that. Well I guess it should be – for it has no preservatives, zero artificial flavoring, and zero artificial sweeteners.
One advise though if you’re going to try Smart C+, be sure to drink it in a glass with ice. Having it simply chilled from the bottle and the taste can be acetic; but iced – it’s tasty and refreshing.
If you’re interested to know more about Oishi Smart C+, then you can visit their website, www.keepupwithsmartc.com; or their Facebook Profile, www.facebook.com/oishi.smartc.
Note to Oishi Smart C+: You should really make that into a Facebook Page and ditch the Profile. You’ll be limited to only 5,000 friends. An official FB Page can have unlimited “connections”.
Oh by the way, here’s the Smart C+ TVC. Watch it and see how the guy, Mark dela Cruz, runs on the beach with a DSLR camera while water splashes around – something I find really brave. 😀
I guess that’s all for today’s product feature.
How about you? Have you already tried Smart C+? If so, what do you think? Does it have potential or should Oishi just stick to making prawn crackers?
Do share your thoughts below. 😀
