Orchard Road in SM Megamall

Located at the 2nd Level, Bridgeway in SM Megamall is this Singaporean restaurant called Orchard Road.

I was fortunate to be invited to dinner here with other bloggers last week to sample some of their dishes.

Eating in Singapore has always been a great dining adventure for me, so I was really excited to try this place that night.

I first heard and tasted Milo Dinosaur in Singapore and it has always been a favorite “dessert drink” of mine. The one above, from Orchard Road, is definitely as good as the ones I had abroad.

That night, I tasted their Laksa, Hainanese Chicken, Char Kway Teow, Chicken Curry, Satay Chicken and many others. But my favorite is the simple looking but really crispy delicious Singaporean Fried Chicken above.

Orchard Road’s beverage list is as varied as their food menu. Feeling adventurous? Try the Bandung, a sweet rose syrup milk drink. Craving for something familiar, get the Chin Chow above, which tastes like your typical but refreshing gulaman drink.

Of course, a Singaporean restaurant isn’t complete without their Kopi and Teh. I was able to witness one of the staff make Singaporean coffee and tea that night – it’s always entertaining and amazing to watch for me.

In any case, if ever you do find yourself in Megamall, I’d say that you try Orchard Road and treat yourself not only with these interesting drinks, but also their wide selection of hawker-inspired Singaporean dishes.
