Red Trellis, General Santos: Strawberry Slushie and More

.

If you love eating seafood and you find yourself in General Santos City, then you should definitely visit Red Trellis Seafood Garden – I can vouch that it’s one of the must-eat places in the city.

And I think, it’s the only place in the city where you can order a strawberry slushie. πŸ˜›

Ice cold, sweet and tasty – you wouldn’t mind getting several episodes of brain freeze, specially when you have this slushie machine beside your table.

Their staff made sure that there’s enough for everyone on our table.

The strawberry slushie went surprisingly well with what we had for dinner that night. The sweetness complimented the tastes of the different seafood dishes that was served to us.

That’s the baked tahong, and below, the buttered prawns.

We also had crabs…

And squid-ink rice

We also had several other dishes like the adobo squid and laing (they have a Bicolano cook I heard) but I was too hungry already to stop and take photos of them. πŸ˜›

After eating, I took some time to take pictures of the place – it’s basically an open-air garden restaurant.

And you know that they serve only the freshest seafood because you can actually see them getting your order right from the aquarium tanks which they have on the side.

So that’s Red Trellis Seafood Garden… a definite must-visit in Gensan.

Red Trellis Seafood Garden is open from 11:00 AM up to 12:00 midnight. It is located across the IBED building of the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University at the back portion of their Lagao Campus along Tiongson Street, near Calina Street.
